My inspiration for this pattern came from the beautifully chosen colors of the Yowza Minis. I decided to use two coordinating colors for a textured hat pattern. The pattern has a brim with twisted rib stitches and a simple two-color pattern, making it perfect for beginners and newbies. Two skeins can easily make two hats in reverse colors.

The hat is worked in stripes, using slipped stitches to create a warm fabric with a special texture. Somehow it reminds me of a crochet pattern! The dogtooth pattern is easy to memorize after the first repeat, and it is so much fun to knit and to wear. If you want an even slouchier hat, feel free to add more pattern rows before you start the crown.
