This is written as a toe-up pattern to be knit two socks at
a time. Directions are included for both 64 and 72
stitches per sock. While this pattern looks like a classic
cable, it is not. A beginner sock knitter should have no
difficulties, and a cable needle is not needed. This pattern
has lots of give and take, which makes it the perfect sock
for many foot widths. If you prefer to knit from the cuff
down, simply reverse the instructions and substitute your
choice of heel.
