Doll Head Bracelet by Ann D'Angelo

Doll Head Bracelet

This pattern is available for free.

This crocheted bracelet offers an edgy modern take on cameo jewelry. The base and straps work up quickly and easily. Required stitches include sc and DC. There are no decreases.

The cameo base is worked in the round without joining rows, so you will need a stitch counter of some sort (it doesn’t need to be fancy, though - a safety pin or or a spare bit of yarn will do just fine).

To finish the bracelet off as pictured, you just need a button (for the closure) and a vintage plastic doll between 7.5 and 8 inches tall, which probably sounds weirdly specific but which is (I promise) a standard size readily available at flea markets, antique malls, and on eBay. The pattern includes a video showing how to deconstruct, clean, and prep the doll head so it’s all ready to put on the bracelet. It also includes written instructions and photos for the crocheting.

(If one wished, one could probably put something else onto the bracelet besides a doll head, such as a skull bead, or an old brooch, or a cherry pie from one’s old dollhouse. One would be limited only by one’s imagination. I do recommend doll heads, though, for sheer creepy delight. They give wonderful punch to any outfit!)
