About the Dolly Vest

The Dolly Vest is worked top down in stockinette stitch.
The piece begins by shaping the shoulders using short rows and is then worked down to the armholes. From there, the fronts are worked separately, with increases to shape the front neckline and armholes. Once the required depth is reached, the fronts are joined with the back, and the body is worked in one piece to the desired length.

Short rows are then worked at the hem to create a subtle curved shape, and the stitches are bound off. To finish, the armhole and neckline edges are worked with a crochet hook.

The vest shown in the photos is size 1 with 19 cm / 7.5” of positive ease, and the model is 163 cm / 5′4” tall.

Please note that the vest can also be worn open, without the ties, so a large amount of positive ease is not necessary for the larger sizes.

Sobre el Dolly Vest

El Dolly Vest se teje de arriba hacia abajo en punto jersey.
La prenda comienza dando forma a los hombros utilizando vueltas cortas y luego se continúa tejiendo hacia abajo hasta las sisas. A partir de allí, los delanteros se trabajan por separado, realizando aumentos para dar forma al escote delantero y a las sisas. Una vez alcanzada la profundidad requerida, los delanteros se unen con la espalda y el cuerpo se teje en una sola pieza hasta el largo deseado.

Luego se trabajan vueltas cortas en el dobladillo para crear una sutil forma curva y los puntos se cierran. Para finalizar, los bordes de las sisas y del escote se trabajan con un ganchillo.
