Notes:
The cardigan is knit in the round and includes 5 steek stitches. Beginning with the smaller circumference needle then change needle length and size as your work progresses to keep the fabric form bunching too much on the cable. This prevents uneven floats in color work section.
The pattern includes M1 or lifted increases in the yoke section. I prefer to make a yarn over where the increases occur in the chart. Then yarn overs should be resolved on the following round by knitting though the back of the loop. This is effectively the same technique as a directional lifted bar increase between stitches that does not change the tension of the neighboring stitch columns.
Once the yoke is complete, you will set aside the stitches for the sleeve sand cast on additional body stitches. I recommend placing sleeve stitches on a length of waste yarn or even spare cables. Continue work in the round until the top measure the desire length. With the sleeves on waste yarn you are free to try on your sweater as you go for just the right fit.
