Mock Houndstooth is worked in two colours using slip stitches to create the ‘teeth’. You never work with more than one colour per round. Use a plain with self-striping or two contrasting plain colours.

Sizes are broken into women’s Small (US size 5-6), Medium (US size 7-8) and Large (US Size 9-11)

The body is knit in pattern with the heel, toe and sole of sock in stocking stitch - if stocking stitch gauge is loose, you may wish to use smaller needles to prevent the sock from ‘curling’.

NOTE: The Kroy Socks yarn yardage has changed from what was used in samples and pattern as originally written. Even on Patons site the yardage is shown at two different lengths https://patons-yarn.com/patons-kroy-socks-fx-yarn/ (166y and 231yard)

Some sites note Kroy is no longer fingering but is now sport weight, I recommend using an alternate fingering weight yarn
