This shawl is inspired by my older middle sister. She is ten years older than me, but she is a wonderful big sister. Blue is her favorite color, so I couldn’t wait to make this shawl in blue. Even though we live hundreds of miles apart, we text or talk about every day!

This is a crescent shape shawl using stockinette stitch for the body and a lace edging. It is knit side to side using percentages of yarn to know when to decrease.

Stitches used are knit, purl, yo, k2tog, and M1.

You can make this with any weight yarn and any size needle depending on the fabric density that you like. The amount of yarn needed may vary.
