The Dotty Mitts are a lovely combination of traditional and modern! Their lovely winding cables and moss stitch body create a lovely texture at your finger tips, while the tops, thumbs and contrasting cast on give a bright pop of colour to spice up murky, grey days!

Knit in Plucky Knitter Primo Worsted these mittens couldn’t be cosier! Perfect for your new winter mitts, or as a gift for a special loved one.

This pattern features both written and charted instructions and has been fully test knit. They are worked in the round and feature a peasant/afterthought thumb.

Materials:

220 - 300 yds of worsted weight wool.

Sample Dotty’s are size 1 and used approx 75g (145 yds) of main colour Wintry Mix and 40g (80 yds) contrasting colour CC Bloom.

Gauge:

6 st x 10 rows in moss stitch = 1 inch (2.5cm) after blocking.

Needles

3.75 mm circular needle and a 24 inch cable, or size to obtain gauge.

3.50 mm circular needle and a 24 inch cable, or size to obtain gauge.

Finished Dimensions:

Size 1,(Size 2)

Hand circ: 7”/17.75cm (8.5”/21.5cm)

Length from top of cuff to tip of mitten: 7.5”/ 19cm (8.25”/21cm)
