A double brim beanie is the most comfortable and luxurious brim to use, learning this technique will allow you to add a double brim to any hat pattern you want that uses a 2x2 ribbed pattern brim.

Skill level needed: Basic knitting skills needed; knit in the round; provisional cast on, and an adventurous spirit for the double brim, but once you’ve done it once, you’ve mastered the technique.

Materials:
2 different colors of worsted weight yarns (50-100 yards of each)
Size US 6 (4mm) 16” circular needles – 2 sets (one for cuff, one for provisional cast on edge)
Size US 6 (4mm) Double Pointed Needles (DPN) or magic loop method
