If you’re making a yarn pompom, you will need more yarn.
The smaller size hats will require slightly less yarn

Hat Sizes
Newborn, 3 months, 6-12 months, Toddler, Child, Teen, Adult

Hat Circumference
12”, 13”, 15.5”, 17”, 18”, 20”, 22”.

Gauge:
1” = 3 sts in stockinette

Note:
After you’ve joined your stitches in the round, use a stitch marker to mark the beginning of the round.

For the newborn and 3 month size, you can start the hat on double pointed needles. Then switch to the circular needles after the first 2 rows.

When decreasing, switch to the double pointed needles before you knit your K1, K2tog round.

The hats are shows here in faux fur pompoms however, you can use your preferred pompoms.

The chart will show you when to change from the Main Colour (MC) to the Contrasting Colour (CC).
