Quick and easy pattern, an easy next step for a beginner, yet still interesting enough for an intermediate knitter.

I used a soft and cosy yarn from Schachenmayr. I picked this colour is it goes with so many things but there are many colours to choose from this range. You can also use any super chunky / super bulky yarn you like.

It is knitted on a round with circular needles, so there is no seem to join together.

It knits up quickly so you won’t need to wait long before you can enjoy wearing it or being able to give it as a gift. Great to keep you cosy and warm on a winter’s day.

This pattern is written in full, easy to follow instructions in English, with both British and American terms throughout.

Actual Scarf size
• Width: 26 cm / 10in
• Diameter (full length around) 157 cm / 62 in

Materials needed

• 2 x 200g /7 oz balls of Schachenmayr Bravo Big Originals (super chunky).
Colour: Beige 00106

Most super chunky / super bulky yarns should work for this pattern, you will need 260 yards – please read the tension / gauge section below

• 10 mm / 15 US / 000 UK circular needles 80cm / 32in

• 12mm / 17 US (only one needle required, can be straight or circular)

• A tapestry needle to join couple of points together and weave in any ends.

Tension / Gauge

Approximately 9 sts and 12 rows to 10 cm / 4 in square over the pattern (in rib of k1, p1) on 10mm needles.
Tension / gauge is not crucial for cowls, as it will only result in a slight variation of size on the finished article.
