The Double Down Socks are a cuff down stranded colorwork pattern that is worked with a heel flap, a twisted rib cuff and accents throughout. There are three included charts for a short and a long leg version as well as optional toe colorwork, so there’s plenty of options to customize to your prefered sock!

There are two available sizes, though as usual with colorwork, it has limited stretch which is why I would recommend the larger size for most people. The langyarns sock yarn is on the thinner side in my opinion, but if yours is thicker and/or your gauge slightly larger, the smaller size should also work. The amount of yarn needed varies depending on what version you are knitting, but about 25g-35g of your CC and 50g-75g of your MC should be plenty in any case.

I wanted my version to have 70s feel, but there is plenty of wonderful color combiniations yet to be made and I would love to see them all!

This pattern has not been test knit by anyone but myself so please feel free to reach out to me if anything seems off or if you found a mistake. Also do not hesitate to reach out to me if you cannot afford the pattern, I will gladly provide you with a free copy - no questions asked.
