This is a short scarf made with double knitting.

Construction
Begin with an Italian (Tubular) Cast On, then work the scarf in double knitting. Divide the work to create the slit, then rejoin if applicable. Finish with an Italian (Tubular) Bind Off.

Gauge
25 sts × 29 rows = 10 × 10 cm 4 × 4” in double knitting on 4.0 mm US6 needles, after blocking.

For reference:
22 sts × 33 rows = 10 × 10 cm 4 × 4” in stockinette stitch, after blocking.
