This is a PATTERN for crocheted Double Layer Hat - Cowl! Easy and fun to make hat which protects you from the coldest weather and wind, but which can be easily transformed in a fun cowl to wear on warmer days.

• crochet hook 5mm or size needed to obtain gauge
• faux fur pompom (optional, you can use handmade pompom instead, or, if you are not going to wear it as a cowl, you can leave it without pompom)
• tapestry needle

Gauge
With worsted weight yarn – work 6sts and 5rows in hdc to measure 5x5cm or 2x2in using 5mm hook, or size required to obtain the gauge.
