Description
This scarf combines two types of cables: a Saxon cable (the large motif) with a cable twist within two of the motif threads. This unique design is imbued with the Celtic Aran tradition and highlights how multiple cable stitch types can be integrated into a single elegant design.

The pattern requires the use of extended single crochet stitches, post-stitches, and cable stitches. Stitch diagrams are included for the pattern. We also provide video tutorials for the main cable stitches, and step-by-step diagrams for the double cable stitches (or nested cable stitches) which have a smaller cable within a larger cable stitch. It is recommended that you have made a prior cable project before tackling this scarf as it incorporates multiple intermediate to advanced cable skills, such as nested cable stitches and bridging cable stitches over sc in the previous row.

Note: A version with colorwork is also shown. The instructions do not provide details on colorwork, however we can provide advice if you would like to make that version.
