This pin cushion is made up of two squares worked in the round using the overlay mosaic crochet technique. These are then joined in a unique way to create a circle.
The method of joining is similar to that of Biscornu pin cushions which are normally sewn or embroidered with material - so I have used crochet instead!

The pin cushion is 10cm (4in) in diameter.
You will need:
2.5mm (US B1/C2) crochet hook
Just 10g of each colour of fingering/4-ply cotton is needed.
I used Hobbii 8/4 cotton 50g balls, 1 each of:
Yarn A: Dark Pink (45); Yarn B: Light Pink (42)
2 small buttons
Approx 15g of stuffing
Tapestry needle to weave in ends
Sewing needle to attach the buttons
