No matter the distance between them, nothing can stop friends from getting together. Much like the iconic Golden Girls’ theme song proclaims. we “travel down the road and back again” to gather with our friends. For annual knitting events, we travel over and over again, year after year, to be with our tribe.

This shawl is inspired by the travels that bring friends together. The design features an easy 4-row repeat creating interlocking arrows. A growing and shrinking garter section creates a biased, crescent U-shape that easily wraps around your shoulders, and stays put. It’s like a hug from a friend at the end of a long trip!

So grab 2 colors, and enjoy the journey as you travel down the road and back again! Or knit one for a special someone to thank them for being a friend!

This pattern is weight-based and can be as large or as small as you decide, based on the amount of yarn used.

This pattern was technically edited and test knit.

PLEASE NOTE: The instructions very conservatively list the turn around point at 40-45% of the yarn used for the risk adverse. You can go as close to 50% as you dare if you enjoy playing yarn chicken! =o)
