Warm and cozy and quick to knit mittens with a nice textured pattern that also makes them quite stretchy. The mittens are worked in the round from the bottom up, seamlessly, with gusset shaping for the thumb.

Sizing:
Small (Medium, Large, XL) to fit a palm circumference of plus/minus 18 (20, 22, 24) cm / 7 (8, 9, 9.5) in.
Note that the Small is meant for a petit adult woman’s hand, could also fit a teen or larger child.

Approximate yardage:
120 (140, 160, 180) m / 130 (150, 170, 190) yards aran or heavy worsted weight yarn.

The Down to Earth mittens are designed to match the Down to Earth hat – Warmer version meant for cold winter weather. The mitten pattern includes a 50% discount code for the matching hat pattern.

For not so cold weather check out the DK version hat and matching fingerless mitts. All patterns can be found in my Ravelry store.
