Downtown Balaclava is a feminine and detailed balaclava with cables. It is an accessory that looks elegant and keeps your head and neck warm.

Introduction to the pattern
Downtown Balaclava is knit top-down. First, a square is knit, which will be the top of the balaclava. Then stitches are picked up along two sides, and the balaclava is knit flat. Finally, stitches are picked up along the face opening, and ribbing is worked.

ONESIZE, but fits most adults and teenagers.

Width: 17 cm 6.5 inches, measured flat and including ribbing.
Height: 33 cm 13 inches.

Gauge
28 stitches x 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm 4 x 4 inches on a 4 mm US 6 needle, knit in the cable pattern, after wash.

Recommended needle size
Circular needle 4 mm US 6, 60 cm.
Circular needle 3,5 mm US 4, 40 or 80 cm.

50 g Pernilla by Filcolana (50 g = 175 m 191 yards), knit single stranded held together with 50 g Tilia by Filcolana (25 g = 210 m 229 yards), held double stranded.
