Dragon Baby! Booties
There’s dragon magic in these dragon feet for babies. They’re knitted flat, they’re knitted in the round using magic loop, they’re knitted with 2 different circulars … but they’re worth the effort!
You need to know about general sock construction, working in magic loop (for the leg, foot, and talons), working an i-cord … and you need patience - these are fiddly!
You’ll need about 25g (or 100 yds) for the main colour, 10g (or about 40 yds) for the first contrast colour (the scaly cuff), and only about 10 yds of the second contrast colour for the claws. These are a great way to use up those lovely leftovers from socks! The claws are knitted individually while some of the foot stitches are held in reserve, so you’ll need 2 US 1 (2.25mm) circular needles for that section.
The pattern includes charts for the cuff and foot sections (as well as written directions) and plenty of pictures of some of the trickier techniques.
Knit some up for a fierce baby you know!
