This is a Chart pattern only for people that know how to read double knit chart patterns. I’ve included two files, one for the dragon by itself and one for the abstract fire I used between the two dragons.

The pattern requires two full skeins of fingering yarn in contrasting colors. Whatever suits your fancy. I tend to use fingering yarns for double knit patterns, liking the finer details afforded by that weight of yarn. If you choose to use a thicker or thinner yarn you’ll end up with a thinner or thicker scarf size. You may also need more or less yarn depending on your preferences. Gauge is not important overall, use needles that match your yarn.

For my scarf I put a edge of 5 stitches on either side of the dragon and added a box around the dragons on the 3rd stitch. That is completely optional and you can do so or ignore it as your ascetics dictate.
