This doll is made of acrylic yarn (details see below). Its final height is 12 cm, a distance between tips of its wings is 20 cm. However, this doll can also be crocheted of any cotton, acrylic or mixed yarn.
The doll’s Legs, Hands and Wings are attached to its Body using with a crochet hook. Its Tail is sewn with a needle.
The doll’s Head is made separately and can be attached to the Body in one of two ways:

  • sewing with a needle: there is a short tutorial in the attachments to the pattern
  • fastening with two buttons (or 2 rounded pieces of plastic). Such a head can be rotated around. You can find the video tutorial on fastening in my YouTube channel.

The doll has a wireframe along the top edge of the Wings, which allows to give them any position. The frame is sewn up inside the Wings with a needle (the tutorial is included).
Also, a separate wireframe is installed in the Legs, what allows to bend them and to set up the doll firmly.
The pattern includes several photo- and video-tutorials (available on YouTube) on crocheting, joining, sewing and attaching doll’s parts.
The pattern consists of 23 pages and has more than 30 step-by-step photos.

For the work you will need:

  • Yarn: as the main yarn I used (no more than 40 g) acrylic (30 g = 130 m) for the green and blue monster

for the doll’s Feet and Fingers, I recommend using another yarn, thinner and denser than your main one. I used mercerized cotton (50 g = 282 m)

red/pink yarn for a tongue, white thin yarn for teeth - a small amount

  • Hooks: for the main yarn I used a 1.75 mm hook; for cotton yarn: for the Feet - 1.5 mm, and for the Fingers - 1.3 mm.
  • For the frame: a piece of wire 1,0 - 1,5 mm thick (length about 0.5 m, length and thick depend on your doll size)

Filler of your choice
Plastic eyes, buttons or embroider thread (optional)
2 flat buttons for attaching the Head (optional, the size depends on the thickness of your yarn)
