In stockinette st:
20 sts / 28 rows = 4 inches using [A] worked on US #6/4mm needles
23 sts / 34 rows = 4 inches using [B] worked on US #5/3.75mm needles
19 sts / 24 rows = 4 inches using [C] worked on US #7/4.5mm needles


In pattern sts:
21 sts / 38 rows = 4 inches in Large Wing Pattern using [A] worked on US #6/4mm needles
25 sts / 44 rows = 4 inches in Small Wing Pattern using [B] worked on US #5/3.75mm needles




Who said it's boring to knit in one color? That's definitely not the case if you start playing with different fibers from Artyarns: the same colourway in merino and silk will have completely different textural pattern and yet work beautifully together when combined into the same garment.


The right combination of yarns can add bust and waist shaping without the headache of increases and decreases. Just get the gauges right and you're halfway done!
