Keep summer vibes throughout the year with this delicate, eye catching crochet top.

The design is versatile. You can make it as a lace vest from wool or acrylic yarn. Or create a light summer top from cotton based yarns, so comfy to wear over the hottest days.

With such a wide range of sizes, you can easily adjust the fit to your liking. Opt for a 2–4” (5–10 cm) of ease for a vest working great for layering. Summer top looks best tight fitting, with a 0–2” (0–5 cm) of ease – but it’s really up to you.

The garment is worked from the bottom up in two pieces and stitched or slip stitched on sides and shoulders. Thick decorative ribbing is worked at the end. On larger sizes (51” / 130 cm and up) you’ll have three dragonflies on chest instead of one (see photos).

Stitch pattern is a repetitive combination of chains and joining stitches (single crochet or slip stitch). It’s easy to memorize as you go and quick to work.

There is an easy to follow step-by-step photo tutorial for Flower Mesh stitch and Dragonfly motif at the end of pattern, in addition to detailed written instructions.
