Drake’s fiery breath can defend any castle, but knitting him up is one cool experience. Add fun metal sales to simple body, tail, and neck pieces. Then knit up eye pieces and wings. Add special Steampunk marble-like eyes and add some metallic yarn for fiery breath. Even though Drake is a gentle dragon, it is not advised to give him to a child because of his scales and eyes.

YARN
1 hank in #5208 Oatmeal
Small amount of black yarn for claws and embroidery
Small amount of gold metallic yarn for fire breath

Scales can be found online at colettesgarden.com in red, black, and bronze
Eyes (Steampunk charms, Steam 178) can be found online at solidoakonline.com

Like all of the cuddly creatures in this book, Drake can be knit to different sizes by using different yarn weights and gauges. Need it oversized? Use bulky or jumbo yarn. Need it tiny? Try a finer weight. It’s as simple as that. If adjusting size, you may need to adjust number of scales and size of eye pieces.
