This pattern was written to make a dramatic sleeved shrug with two skeins of “drapey” fingering yarn. I used my own hand dyed llama in colorway “Fashionama”. It is simply one piece knit in garter and stockinette with some simple seams at the arms. The shape is achieved with only changes in the needle size and holding yarn double for part of the project. I added tassels at the sleeve points for added DRAMA.
There are only knit and purl stitches, no increases or decreases. Blocking is important. Using a natural fiber with little memory like llama or alpaca will follow the design closest.
