This knitting pattern shows you how to make the perfect slipover vest with ties on the side.

The Dream Vest is worked in three separate parts, the two top panels, the ruffles front and back, and four i-cord strings. First, the front and back top panels are worked individually from the bottom up and then stitched together at the shoulders. Next, the stitches for the ruffles are picked up and knitted top down along the cast-on edge of each, back and front panel. Lastly, four strings of i-cord are knitted and sewn on to tie the vest together at the sides.

All steps and techniques in the pattern are accompanied by a VIDEO TUTORIAL.

SIZE GUIDE
The Dream Vest is designed to have approx. 3 cm (1.2 inches) of positive ease.

Sizes are XS (S) M (L) XL (XXL)

The sizes are designed to fit a bust circumference of 71–76 (81–86) 91.5–96.5 (101.5–106.5) 111.5–117 (122–127) cm (28–30 (32–34) 36–38 (40–42) 44–46 (48–50) inches).
Before beginning your project, measure yourself to determine which size will fit you best. If you are in between sizes we recommend to size down since the vest is more on the oversized side to wear a blouse or t-shirt underneath.

PERSONALIZATION
In a few of the steps, we offer options (with detailed explanations) to customize the pattern more to your preferences, such as the length of the top panels or ruffles. Additionally the ties on the side make the vest size adjustable.

GAUGE
17 sts x 24 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 inches) in stockinette stitch on a 5 mm (US8) needle.

NEEDLES
Circular needles: 5 mm (US8) / 80 cm (32 inches), Double point needles: 3.5 mm (US 4)
