Dream Weaver is a favorite ski trail on the beautiful south face of Okemo Mountain in Vermont. It’s long and winding, wide and open. It makes me feel like the star in a ski commercial when traversing it. I am a “green circle, beginner” skier, translate that to “pity” skier.

Blue, Black & Double Black rated trails are never on my agenda. The first day I skied Dream Weaver, my first “blue circle, intermediate trail,” I was in awe of my abilities, meager as they were. Then Okemo added 20 new trails and re-rated Dream Weaver. It became a dreaded “green circle, beginner trail” - but when I skied it, and in my dreams always, it will be a “blue circle” trail…

This hat is a “tip of the hat” to Dream Weaver.

Colorwork for some is forever “too difficult” but as a teacher and designer, it’s my mission to change that perception one student at a time. No cable needles, no memorizing stitch patterns, heck, hardly any purling, except at the brim! Go on, give it a try, and when done, don’t skimp on the finishing work - it’s what makes any knitting shine. Block it, make an amazing tassel or oversized pom pom, line it with fleece to make it “snow worthy”.

Knit in the round, Dream Weaver is available in three sizes,
Infant (Child, Adult) and uses worsted weight yarn in 4 colors, two of the colors are “small ball” or scrap amounts.
