The Driftwood Lace Top is a light, lacy summer top with a low back, boatneck design. It is a fairly easy pattern that works up quickly because it is made with a light worsted-weight cotton yarn.
This top is worked in one piece with seaming only at the sides under the arm. It starts by working the front from the bottom up. The arms are shaped using decreases, and then the straps are worked separately with increases for the arm holes. Finally, the straps are joined and the back is worked down. The sides can be seamed with whatever method is preferred.

Inspired by the braided shell stitch from Nordic Hook Designs, this pattern pays homage to their elegant textures while offering a modern, wearable silhouette.
