The name of the top means Licorice String in Dutch, because the yarn reminded me of the black licorice strings I used to love when I was a kid…:-)
This loose, relaxed summer top incorporates several interesting elements. It has a deep V-neck, deep raglan sleeves and an oversized feel. To relieve the stockinette, a fabulous woven stitch panel embellishes the front, celebrating the wonderful ribbon yarn.
The raglan increases are yarnovers to give the summer breeze a chance to cool you…the same goes for the elongated stitch details at hems and sleeve edgings. It’s a quick knit with enough new stitches to keep you interested, and enough stockinette to make it a relaxing TV-knit…
Knit one up and sling it on over a tee, jeans or a skirt, and slouch around fashionably attired all summer long!
