This is a pattern for a very quick and easy scarf. This stitch “plays” with the traditional ladder stitch, enhancing it and giving it a new “outlook” on life. the stitch itself gives the sides a self made scallop that makes for a fun scarf. The turtleneck section insures that you’ll be warm, even though it is an open and lacy scarf. (Of course you can make it without the turtleneck section, if you prefer.)

The pattern is both charted and written out line by line. There are also instructions for an optional crocheted edging, should you want to edge it.

The scarf was expertly test knitted by MiMi Sevimll, who can be reached at: Karal3@ yahoo.com. It was knit in Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sport Yarn, in colorway, Grapevine.

Skill Level: Beginner + - Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of knitting, purling and YO’s)
