Duality is an eastern themed mosaic overlay pattern, sporting dragons, yin-yang, shadow box effect, double happiness and I-ching boxes. The pattern calls for an approximate 4,845 yds of DK acrylic yarn. I used 8 skeins of Stylecraft Special DK in Burgundy and 7 skeins of Parchment.

Due to the size of the PDF, the tester felt the written instructions should be reduced by removing all unnecessary words. However, I receive a lot of positive feedback on my other sites from customers who have either been hesitant to buy, because they find the standard method confusing or customers who have just noted that the patterns are much easier to read. For this reason, I have attempted to minimize the size of my written instructions without compromising the features for which my customers have given positive feedback. In order to reduce pattern size, I have amended this pattern to GRAPH ONLY with a minimal introduction that includes: A fully expandable graph, specs, graph key with explanation and written instructions for the double-sided border.

I do not advise those who are new to Mosaic Overlay technique to attempt this pattern until you are comfortable working “graph only”.
