Create a cabled beret with your ideal fit with customizable top-down Dubois. Depth and band size can easily be mixed and matched. Choose the depth to achieve your desired look and a band that will fit with some negative ease. For a crisply blocked beret, the smaller depths are better suited for finer hair, and the larger depths work well to fit voluminous hair. If a slouchy, soft beret is desired, choose the medium or large depth. The sample is shown with a medium band and medium depth and was blocked crisply.

Please be aware that this pattern has cables that cross the beginning and end of some rounds. The written stitch pattern instructions adjust the beginning of the round to accommodate this, but the charted version shows a center segment of the stitch pattern.
