Fun and charming socks sprinkled with just enough ‘pepper’ to make them interesting to knit. These socks were inspired by The Duchess in Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland.

The stranded part is easy enough for a beginner since there is never more than three stitches to carry floats over. The rib cable is fun to knit and gives stretch to the sock.

The heel flap is worked with a 3-stitch garter on either side which makes picking up stitches along it much easier.

Come join the fun in the Wonderland Sock Club where each sock is designed for a character in the Wonderland books.
