♫ The Music ♫
The music flows as a beautiful stream from the duduk - an ancient double reed woodwind instrument from Armenia. Created from aged apricot wood, it has been played since at least the 5th century. It can be heard in Yanni’s Nostalgia.

The Duduk Socks are toe-up socks that begin with a barn toe. The instep is worked in a Bavarian twisted stitch cable pattern which begins with an opening V-shape while the sole is worked in Stockinette stitch (knit every round). The gusset increases are worked at the sides of the sole. The heel is turned using a short row heel cap which means no picking up stitches. The heel flap is worked in a standard slipped-stitch pattern. The Bavarian twisted stitch cable pattern continues from the instep on the front and back leg.

Both charts and written directions for charts are provided. Written directions for each size are on their own pages for easy printing.

To work the recommended bind off knitters need to be able to ‘read their knitting’ i.e. identify knit or purl sts as they present themselves.
