This pattern was written for an AMI Elementary Alumni Association Summer Conference (www.ami-eaa.org) where we offered sewn, crocheted, and knitted project bag patterns for participants. Three cheers for handwork!

You can use whatever yarn you’d like. The goal is to achieve a fabric that’s tight enough to hold yarn and needles but flexible enough to accommodate your project.

The finished sample is about 12” across and 9” deep, with a handle that has about a 6” drop.
