Knitworthy 9 Our newest collection of accessory patterns, perfect to gift. Knitworthy 9 includes six patterns spanning a wide range of techniques and styles.

This pattern will be released for individual purchase in December 2025 until then it is only available as part of Knitworthy 9.

Keep your loved ones’ feet toasty warm this winter with a pair of cosy slippers. The seamless, multi-gauge pattern works up quickly in aran to super chunky yarns and includes an extra-cosy felted option.

The Dumpling Slippers are perfect for stashbusting and using up scraps – get creative with colourblocking or marling two or more yarns together. The versatile pattern even includes directions for an extra-warm felted version, with cleverly adjusted proportions to allow for the ways knitted fabric shrinks. With seven sizes, from toddler to adult xl, you’ll be able to knit them for everyone on your list. For the cosiest welcome to your home, you could even stock a basket for guests in various sizes.

You’ll begin by knitting the flat sole in cushy garter stitch – simple shaping with increases and decreases create “pockets” for the toe and heel. You’ll then pick up stitches along the open edges and work the upper section in the round. The toe flap is worked back and forth and joined to the stitches at the sides as you go. Finally, complete the slipper with a neat I-cord bind off for a sturdy finish. Add an optional hanging loop, weave in a few ends, and the un-felted version are ready to wear! A trip or two through the washing machine and the felted ones will be utterly transformed, don’t worry if you’ve never felted your knitting before, full instructions and plenty of tips are included to help you get the perfect result.
