Fancy a quick and easy free knitting pattern that a man will like? GREAT!

Ok so my hubby has a large cranium, that is a helpful thing to know when making man beanies. He also likes a good thick band to keep his ears warm, and he doesn’t look great in a skull cap fitted style. So you can see that the average pattern wasn’t going to work. Hence this pattern was made. Fear not though, as this hat actually will fit and suit many – even my small peanut sized head!

Key features of this warm man beanie:

• Double fold thick width band
• Longer fitting beanie
• Softer decreases for a fuller look (with nice detailing on the back)

I’ve made this using The Woven’s new Stewart Island Merino, it is gauged as DK but works well as a light worsted too.
