This design was specifically created with new crocheters in mind. Think of it as the ultimate skill-building project. You will be progressively introduced to new stitches and techniques to allow you to be challenged, but in a relaxed way.
How, exactly?
All of the pattern repeats that form the textural elements of Duneside are created in such a way that exact stitch counts are not necessary. So, if you miss an increase here or there, it will not affect the pattern at all. You can concentrate on perfecting your technique for individual stitches without being distracted or concerned about the need for precise stitch counts every row. (I mean, who wants to double-check that their current row has exactly 357 stitches, right?!)
My hope is that you will find this project both rewarding and relaxing!
Happy crocheting,
Deanne
