Feminine and fearlessly rugged, rich cabling runs down the back of these timeless mittens. Two-stitch cables travel to new levels of complexity, designed to satisfy the adventurous knitter; the right and left hands are worked as mirror images of each other. Densely knit with a secure cuff and roomy hand, these mittens are the perfect companion to a chilly day. Wear them alone, or make an Ealhswith Hat to match. Named for Ealhswith of Mercia, wife of Alfred the Great.
