The Earl Grey Beanie is a chunky knit beanie with a twisting cable detail. The cable pattern is easy to memorize and works up fast for a knitting experience that is as soothing as a cup of your favorite tea on a chilly day.

Gauge is 12sts by 14 rows = 4”/10cm in stockinette on 6.5 mm needles.

This hat is knit in the round from the bottom up, starting with the ribbing and smoothly transitioning into the cable pattern. It is finished by cinching the top shut.

I have included both charts and written directions for the cables, use whichever works best for you.

This project uses less than one skein of Hue + Me yarn, so it’s a great inexpensive project, and makes for a lovely handmade gift!
