A triangular shawl worked from top down with small butterfly motifs.

Finished Size:

  • 3 sizes, Small (Medium, Large).
  • 50 (61 ¾, 73 ½)” wide x 22 (27 ¼, 32 ½)” tall / 127 (157, 186.5) cm wide x 56 (69, 82.5) cm tall.
  • It can also be modified to in-between sizes, Instruction of modification included in pattern.

Gauge:

  • 16 sts x 34 rows = 4” x 4” / 10 cm x 10 cm in stockinette stitch after blocking.
  • Gauge given is based on sample yarn and semi-aggressive blocking.
  • Sample yarn is 100% linen which does not stretch as much as wool yarn.
  • Gauge is not critical in shawls unless exact measurements are desired.
  • If listed gauge cannot be achieved, block swatch and change needle size to change

Construction:

  • Shawl is knitted from top edge down.
  • Increase 4 sts every RS row.
  • Lace and twisted stitches are worked only on Right Side rows. Simply purl sts on Wrong Side rows.

Skills required:

  • Make increases.
  • Make decreases.
  • Work twisted stitches (tutorial video links included.)
  • Work lace (yarn overs).

Yarn requirements:

  • Fingering Weight yarn.
  • 350 (540, 765) yards / 320 (495, 700) meters
