this pattern could be knitted with 4.5 or 5 mm streight needles, depending on your yarn. I recommend the 5 mm for warmer socks and 4.5 mm for lighter ones.

you can mix in colors in the heel and toe part or in stripes wherever you want.. or you can make it solid color.

this is knitted in one piece that is later sewn into the sock shape.
