This bag is worked from the bottom up, with the base of the bag worked from the center out in the round using smaller needles. Switch to a larger needle to work the eyelet pattern to make a super stretchy, big market bag.

My bag is 8 inches/20 cm across at the base and 8 inches/20 cm tall in the lace section without stretching. The body of the bag is about 34 inches/86 cm around the top.

You can adjust by making the base bigger or smaller, or make the sides longer.

It’s finished with a long I-cord that serves as the drawstring and strap. (I made mine with an I-cord maker, but you can do it by hand if you don’t have one.)
