Handsome and hard-working, this all-season cup cozy is as comfortable in the heat of a South Carolina summer as it is inviting in the chill of a New England winter. It sports a cuff that folds down to accommodate a smaller size, while the stable bottom eliminates the need for a coaster. The small yardage lends itself to a quick gift, and is a great way to try out a new yarn or use up leftovers.

Yarn:  25g (about 65yds / 60m) light worsted weight wool yarn; the absorbency and resilience of a non-superwash wool makes it ideal for this project.
Holding fingering weight wool doubled (about 130yds/ 120m) will approximate the same gauge, and opens up color fading possibilities.

Needles: US 4 (3.5mm) 32” circular needle for magic loop method (or your preferred method for knitting in the round); when in doubt, opt for a firmer gauge by choosing needles one size smaller

Notions: Locking stitch marker, darning needle, cable needle, scissors, ruler; it also helps to have your target size cup handy.

Sizes: Cuff folds down to accommodate the next size down:
Small fits 16 (and 12) oz cups (more versatile for gifts!)
Large fits 20 (and 16) oz cups
Height is easily adjustable to accommodate taller sizes.

Written directions, with chart and written directions for body pattern.
Cozy is knit circularly from the bottom up.

Errata: on the first version of the pattern, increase rounds have wrong stitch counts paired with them. The final stitch count is correct, but the first stitch count given should be for round 1, the second for round 3, and so on. The corrected file ends in 1.2
