This is an easy project crocheted in the afghan stitch. If you’ve never tried Tunisian crochet before, this is a fantastic starter pattern for learning the technique. You work the center of the potholder in afghan stitch, and then you join the two pieces by crocheting an edging consisting of single crochet and slip stitch.

Gauge:
11 stitches = 3 inches. The row gauge isn’t critical for this project.

The potholders each measure approximately 8 ¾ inches square before washing. This measurement includes the edging. The potholders can be expected to shrink slightly when you launder them.
