I have been playing with hat shapes for what seems like years, who says they have to be knit in the round, or bottom up? For those who know me, you will realise I will do anything not to use double pointed needles. This is knit from the inside out in an arch shape
I used Hobbii universe Christmas sock yarn held double. It has a very long self stripe. I used the green portion for the hat & the red for the poinsettia flower.
You will need 4mm circular needles with a long / very long cable, BUT, it is not knit in the round.
