For the Aran Blanket :
You will need approx. 300 grams / 585 metres of Aran baby yarn (#4 medium)
One pair of 7 mm knitting needles and a 7 mm cable needle.

For the Chunky Blanket :
You will need approx. 400 grams / 600 metres of Chunky baby yarn (#5 bulky)
One pair of 8 mm knitting needles and a 8 mm cable needle.

This is a very easy pattern with a simple cable stitch, ideal as an introduction to cable knitting.
