When searching for quick and easy patterns for Christmas gifts this year I found nothing that grabbed me. I am always drawn to Knit Collage, which makes a variety of yarns that knit up quickly while also giving a pop of that extra something that is truly special. I bounced around a few ideas and ultimately decided on a potholder. Essentially just large swatches, these potholders or hot pads knit up super fast and have great functionality.

Two skeins of Cast Away yarn yield 4 potholders. Each potholder is knit with two strands of yarn held together. One skein could be used to make 2 potholders if both ends of the skein are held together.
