All you are going to need is:
· Some yarn
· A hook
· An elastic band
· A ruler for measurements
· Tapestry needle

The yarn, hook and elastic size are not really important, all the measures are described below.

Just for information: I personally used a 3.5 mm hook and made a 10cm/4in swatch with 25 stitches and 25 rows.

The entire piece is simple, so it is ideal for beginners who wish to complete a quick project and/or work on their (US) single crochet.

I would recommend using a velvet fine yarn for a result close to the picture
